- Administer medications, feedings, oxygen, and ostomy care as needed, and document the results of these interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Implement and maintain infection control policies, reporting any possible communicable diseases or infections and ensuring the proper use of infection control procedures.
- Accurately document all nursing actions, communication with family members, case managers, and physicians, and document progress and outcomes for established goals.
- Order supplies, medications, and feedings as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Ensure all patient needs are met in accordance with physician instructions.
- Monitor incidents involving clients, complete incident reports, and inform case managers of any incidents.
- Maintain and report any faulty medical equipment to the Durable Medical Equipment department for repair.
