Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Superintendent with a solid background in Commercial Construction to oversee our projects from inception to completion. This role is crucial for ensuring that our construction endeavors are executed successfully. The ideal candidate will have the chance to manage a diverse range of projects and will be responsible for coordinating all on-site construction activities while supervising field personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction operations, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries to ensure resource availability.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, making necessary updates and adjustments.
- Supervise and mentor field personnel, promoting a positive work culture and a commitment to safety.
- Ensure all work on-site complies with design specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety regulations and guidelines.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the construction site and project management, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring accurate billing.
- Resolve conflicts and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Continuously assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction sector.
- Proven experience in Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial Construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in construction management software and technology.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
