Key Responsibilities- Provide housing and financial counseling education to individuals and households, with a focus on economic stability and success.
- Conduct family assessments and identify short-term and long-term economic goals, working closely with clients to develop personalized plans.
- Collaborate with local Departments of Social Services, financial institutions, and community partners to execute programs and initiatives that promote financial literacy and asset-building.
- Track client progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful outcomes, including the establishment of savings accounts and the reduction of debt.
- Facilitate Financial Coaching workshops and provide participants with job search services, resume development, and employment preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or human services.
- HUD Housing Counselor Certification or willingness to become certified upon hiring.
- Experience providing direct services to at-risk families or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, community partners, and colleagues.
