The Board of Regents of Gunston Hall Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting American history. We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative and Financial Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for providing high-level office support and specialized program support for our Finance and Administration office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Compile monthly receipts and prepare purchasing card statements.
  • Manage vendor issues and maintain contract files.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and quarterly HR reports.
  • Enter bank deposits into Cardinal and QuickBooks.
  • Process vendor payments and reconcile transactions.
  • Support state agency reports and data entry into FAACS.
  • Process invoices and prepare journal entries.
  • Coordinate payroll forms and respond to payroll inquiries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business.
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance and administrative support roles.
  • Practical experience with accounting software, spreadsheets, and Peoplesoft software.
  • Ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation

The salary for this position is $62,000 per year, based on qualifications, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
