About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Limited Radiographer to join our team at Great Plains Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing specialized radiographic procedures to help patients receive accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient history and reason for examination, interpreting information to evaluate appropriateness of examination ordered.
  • Perform radiographic procedures, tailoring the examination to meet the specific needs of the patient relative to physical abilities and age-specific needs.
  • Transport patients in a safe manner, assisting with preparation for examination or procedure while ensuring patient privacy and comfort.
  • Operate equipment in compliance with manufacturing specifications, selecting proper technical factors based on patient's body habitus, pathology, age, and physical abilities and limitations.
  • Provide radiation protection for patients and fellow employees, being cognizant of age-specific issues related to radiation protection.
  • Demonstrate anatomy requested per examination, adhering to department examination protocols and standards of care.
  • Prepare completed images for reading by interpreting physician, demonstrating competency in using all software applications necessary in the completion of the examination.
  • Take department call as assigned, demonstrating commitment to continual learning, growth, and development by participating in continuing education activities and staying abreast of changing technology, new procedures, and protocols.
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required; Associates Degree/Limited Scope Radiographer post-secondary program preferred.
  • Current State of NE Limited Radiographer license required; Limited Radiographer certificate from the Limited Scope Radiographer Program preferred.
  • Ability to sit frequently, stand and/or walk frequently, bend, stoop, and crouch frequently, reach floor-overhead frequently, and lift up to 50 pounds waist to shoulder height frequently.
