Essential Qualifications:

  • PhD with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a BSc/MSc with at least 5 years of professional background.
  • Expertise in C++ programming, including familiarity with C++20 standard libraries, a C++ unit testing framework (e.g., gtest), and build systems such as CMake or Bazel.
  • Proficient in implementing control systems, including optimal control algorithms (like MPC or variations of LQR) with constraints for nonlinear, parameter-varying dynamic systems on hardware, as well as designing tests and metrics for assessing control system efficacy.
  • Experience in dynamic modeling, including the representation of dynamic responses of MIMO systems in state-space form, system identification, parameter estimation, and modeling 6DOF kinematics using quaternions or rotation matrices. Knowledge of vehicle dynamics (including suspension, power steering, tire models, and propulsion models) is advantageous.
