Job Summary

Sonance is seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will be responsible for monitoring aging reports, proactively contacting customers to discuss past due balances, and maintaining past due balances within acceptable limits and thresholds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor Aging Reports: Regularly review aging reports to identify customers with past due balances and take proactive steps to contact them to discuss payment arrangements.
  • Manage Past Due Balances: Maintain past due balances within acceptable limits and thresholds, ensuring that our customers are able to meet their financial obligations.
  • Perform Account Reconciliations: Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify any discrepancies or errors, and work with customers to resolve these issues.
  • Assess Credit Worthiness: Regularly review customer accounts to assess their credit worthiness and make recommendations for releasing new orders or adjusting credit limits.
  • Conduct Credit Verification: Conduct credit verification for new accounts to determine appropriate terms and credit limits, and re-evaluate existing customer accounts to adjust terms and credit limits as necessary.
  • Respond to Credit Inquiries: Respond promptly to credit inquiries from vendors regarding our customers, and provide accurate and timely information to support their credit decisions.
  • Recommend Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to minimize accounts receivable issues, and recommend improvements to our credit and collections processes.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets and reports.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a credit or collections role, with a strong understanding of financial operations and credit management principles.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $80-$90k, with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
