Job Title: Nursing Administration Supervisor

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nursing Administration Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising nursing personnel and operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The Nursing Administration Supervisor will provide overall supervision of the nursing department, collaborating with the administrative team to make administrative decisions and ensure patient and staff safety. This role will also involve supervising professional and ancillary personnel, assisting with orientation and training, and maintaining unit-based staffing to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing personnel and operations, making rounds on a regular basis and assessing patient conditions.
  • Facilitate hospital throughput, providing resources, managing bed placement, and coordinating patient transfers and discharges.
  • Supervise professional and ancillary personnel, assisting with orientation and training, and maintaining unit-based staffing.
  • Evaluate employee, patient, family, and physician complaints, responding courteously and promptly to resolve problems.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification.
