As a Nursing Supervisor at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong leader who can collaborate with the administrative team, make administrative decisions, and oversee the functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Nursing Personnel: Make rounds on a regular basis to assess routine and non-routine conditions of patients, identify symptoms and behavioral changes, and review medical data.
- Facilitate Hospital Throughput: Provide resources, manage bed placement, and coordinate patient transfers and discharges.
- Supervise Professional and Ancillary Personnel: Assist with orientation and training of new employees, supervise the quality and effectiveness of patient care, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain Unit-Based Staffing: Adjust staffing to meet patient needs while observing regulatory mandates and budget guidelines.
- Evaluate Employee, Patient, Family, and Physician Complaints: Respond courteously and promptly to resolve problems within the scope of delegated authority.
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Master's Degree preferred; five years' technical experience preferred; one year's experience working in a critical care setting preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for all facilities, except Behavioral Health.
