POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for delivering comprehensive cleaning services to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming atmosphere for residents, personnel, and visitors. The custodial duties performed align with organizational policies and comply with applicable state and federal regulations, fostering an environment that promotes the well-being of residents.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Conducts sweeping, damp mopping, and wet mopping of tiled surfaces.

May occasionally engage in spray buffing, stripping, or waxing floors, adhering to facility protocols, including the placement of wet floor signage.


  • Performs vacuuming in carpeted areas as necessary.
  • Disposes of waste, cleans receptacles, and replaces liners with fresh ones.
  • Sanitizes restroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following established procedures.
  • Wipes down glass surfaces, including mirrors, artwork, and windows.
  • Removes dust and debris from behind and beneath furniture.
  • Adheres to infection control protocols during cleaning tasks.
  • Eliminates wax and dirt accumulation in corners, along baseboards, and in entryways.
  • Replaces soiled privacy curtains and drapes as required.
  • Utilizes a ladder to remove and rehang curtains and drapes for external windows.
  • Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.) in accordance with facility procedures, including the use of wet floor signage.
  • Rearranges furniture to facilitate thorough cleaning behind and underneath, following established protocols.
  • Rotates bed mattresses after cleaning.
Qualifications:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

No prior experience necessary; training will be provided on-site.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Prior experience in healthcare cleaning or environmental services is advantageous.
