We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our High Net Worth tax practice, where you'll oversee the tax preparation process for individuals and trusts, ensuring compliance with state and federal tax regulations. As a Tax Manager, you'll delegate and manage tax assignments, perform administrative duties, and be responsible for training, supporting, supervising, motivating, and reviewing the work of your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tax planning and compliance services for high net worth individuals and related trusts
- Develop and sustain excellent client relationships to a level of becoming a trusted advisor
- Identify issues and recommend creative solutions to complex client issues
- Manage client engagements to achieve optimum service expectations
- Develop and grow a business network with referral relationships, potential clients, and organizations to attract new business
- Hold yourself and others accountable for business development goals
- Recruit, develop, and motivate team members
- Create a highly collaborative environment in which team members reach out to others for input and ideas
- Promote a culture of engagement, inclusion, and accountability for the organization's core values and competencies for the teams that you lead
- Set and achieve stretch goals on a periodic basis that increases your value and contribution to the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's degree in Tax preferred; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 5+ years recent accounting firm experience, including managing multiple tax accounting projects and client engagements, directing and scheduling staff, and managing workflow
- CPA certification
- Ability to multitask
- Leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and networking acumen
- Ability to manage and grow strong customer relationships
- Experience with tax software and technology
