About the Role

Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital (BWFH) is seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe assembly, distribution, and service of food to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare food items for to-go orders, including sandwiches, grill items, and hot meals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Clean and maintain the workstation and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Restock workstations and supplies as needed.
  • Perform light food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and cooking meals.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read English to follow recipes, read menus/meal tickets, and job flows.
  • Ability to speak proficient English.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to push catering carts, carry/move items up to 25 lbs., bend, lift, and reach.
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position and/or walk quickly for long periods of time.
