About the Role

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe assembly, distribution, and service of food to Hospital patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient meal trays
  • Work in the dish room, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Clean floors and equipment, ensuring a clean and hygienic workspace
  • Restock workstations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Prepare and serve food, adhering to food safety guidelines
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read English to follow recipes, read menus/meal tickets, and job flows
  • Ability to speak proficient English
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for patients and staff
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to push catering carts, carry/move items up to 25 lbs, bend, lift, and reach
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position and/or walk quickly for long periods
