Job Summary

The University of Mary seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service and support to the Business Office and other departments. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including front desk reception, data entry, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and welcoming service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including mail, faxes, and payments, ensuring seamless communication and workflow.
  • Assist with data entry, sorting, and filing, supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Support Purchasing by processing purchase orders and answering questions on order status.
  • Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and provide backup support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Associate degree in a related field or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building a culture of hospitality and respect.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
