Job Summary

As a Unit Clerk at CHI St. Alexius Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients, families, and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality care and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients' personal hygiene and assist with activities of daily living, including feeding, ambulating, and positioning patients.
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, weight, and intake and output, and report concerns or changes to assigned nurse.
• Answer patients' call lights, address and maintain a safe and clean environment, and provide information or relay messages to patients and medical staff.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, and maintain a neat and orderly nurse station.
• Prepare admit and discharge patient charts, and record information, such as physicians' orders and instructions, dietary requirements, and medication information, on patient plan of care.

Qualifications

• High school student, graduate, or equivalent.
• Must be listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry operated by the North Dakota Board of Nursing, State Department, and consolidated Laboratories by the North Dakota Board of Nursing, or obtain placement on one immediately following orientation and training by St. Alexius Medical Center.
• No previous experience necessary, but preferred hospital experience, aide experience, or satisfaction completion of certification/training program.
