Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with our project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, and to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with our company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that construction activities are being carried out in accordance with our company's policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any potential risks or non-compliances to the project team.
- Work closely with our project teams to develop and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure that construction activities are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of construction activities, including site inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Perform other duties as required by the project team or management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based document software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends, and overtime as required.
- Ability to pass a drug-screening procedure prior to being hired, and subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school or college degree in a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Ability to interpret construction schedules.
- Transit experience beneficial.
- Certified Competent Conveyance Mechanic (CCCM) beneficial, but not required.
