Job Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Custom Product Finishing Technician. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, shipping, and materials management teams.
  • Set up and operate manual and automated labeling, dispensing, and kitting equipment to meet production demands.
  • Label components and kits accurately and efficiently.
  • Dispense and assemble components into kits and kit sub-assemblies using approved work instructions.
  • Complete all required written documentation, including batch records, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Identify and report defects or nonconformances to the group leader or supervisor.
  • Follow contamination control procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
  • Demonstrate inclusion and respect for others, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Embody Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing production demands.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Competency in general math and proficiency in using computers and electronic interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a production environment with exposure to various production and packaging equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • Manual dexterity to dispense product and assemble kits.
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally move up to 300 lbs. on a dolly and 500 lbs. on a pallet jack.
  • Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to move throughout a shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout shift.
  • Visual acuity for quality inspections.
  • Ability to perform occasional work in -20 degrees C temperature environments.
