Job Overview

Mackin Engineers & Consultants is in search of a skilled Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor – 1 (TCIS-1). This role is essential for overseeing roadway and bridge construction inspections, ensuring adherence to contract stipulations, design specifications, and budget estimates. The TCIS-1 will take charge of coordinating inspection activities, mentoring team members, and effectively liaising with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of roadway and bridge construction, focusing on grade elevations, stakeouts, asphalt or concrete applications, drainage systems, signage, traffic management, and excavation processes.
  • Oversee inspection operations, delegate responsibilities, and perform evaluations of team performance.
  • Analyze and interpret construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Record and report on construction activities, project progress, and any issues identified during inspections.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation construction inspection or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritize and manage various projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methodologies, and practices.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
