Job Title: Water Infrastructure Manager

At Fayette County, we are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Manager to oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of our water system infrastructure. This is a full-time position with benefits and a competitive salary range of $78,611.04-$100,782.28.

About the Role:
This role involves managing and coordinating activities related to water system development, from conception to acceptance. You will oversee engineering projects, including defining project budgets, developing and reviewing designs, and performing data analysis. Additionally, you will manage engineering and consultant contracts, develop RFPs, specifications, and provide support for departmental projects.

4. Oversee capital improvement projects.
5. Assist with review of water construction plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and plan specifications.
6. Perform site investigations to ensure work is done according to the work plan.
7. Assist with the development and maintenance of the water system geographic information system (GIS).
8. Provide technical assistance and direction for potential and existing development regarding standards, rules, and regulations, and general policy.
9. Maintain records and prepare reports necessary to ensure compliance with Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
10. Provide support for all divisions and prepare, monitor, and accept internal projects.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and two years of related experience.
• Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia; written commitment to transfer Professional Engineer (P.E.) license from another state within six months of employment or the ability to obtain a State of Georgia P.E. license within six months of employment.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia.
