We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Tech I Adult Psych Fulltime Nights to join our team at Orlando Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide general nursing care to patients in a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities- Observations and Documentation: Accurately document patient observations in a legible and timely manner, adhering to hospital and unit procedures.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient information to Registered Nurses and other healthcare team members.
- Nursing Education Groups: Assist with educational groups for patients and their families.
- Vital Signs and Phlebotomy: Complete assigned tasks related to vital signs, phlebotomy, and total milieu supervision of patient care.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Transport items, equipment, and medications (excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy drugs) throughout the facility.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certifications: Maintains Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and obtains Handle with Care (HWC) Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience: At least 180 days (6 months) experience as a Mental Health Technician, Psychology Technician, Psychiatric Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, or similar roles.
