About the Position

This Adult Mental Health Care Technician role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to adults requiring mental health support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document patient observations accurately and thoroughly, following hospital and unit procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the RN and other healthcare team members regarding patient conditions.
  • Assist with nursing education groups, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Complete assignments related to AM/PM care, vital signs, phlebotomy, and total milieu supervision of patient care.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as transporting items and equipment, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and participating in Performance Improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Maintain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Obtain and maintain Handle with Care (HWC) Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 6 months experience as a Mental Health Technician, Psychology Technician, or similar role.
