Your Responsibilities
Position Overview:
The clinical nurse works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute a care plan for a designated group of patients, ensuring seamless coordination of care among various disciplines and support personnel. This role involves performing professional nursing tasks that utilize the psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills of the patient, family, and significant others to assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for the patient throughout their care journey. The nurse will assess patient outcomes, evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan, and determine readiness for discharge, making necessary adjustments or referrals as needed. This position also serves as a role model and mentor for students and newly hired nurses in the unit, and may function as a Patient Care Coordinator upon request from management.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Completion of Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) or CPI training within 30 days of employment
- At least six months of demonstrated nursing experience
- A minimum of six months of recent experience in emergency room nursing
- All external candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
- Capability to maintain an appropriate work pace in relation to workload
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements
- Previous experience as an ICU Nurse
- Bilingual skills for effective communication with patients and families
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
