Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures, including anesthesia, surgery, and laboratory testing.
  • Provide patient care and support, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient recovery.
  • Conduct laboratory tests, prepare specimens for outside laboratories, and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain radiographs, following proper safety procedures.
  • Provide basic animal handling and restraint, as well as administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and laboratory spaces.
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, clients, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of desired employment.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
  • Practice OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS office applications.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and client satisfaction.
