Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Advising: Provide individualized academic advising to students, helping them to develop educational plans and achieve their academic goals.
  • Student Support: Offer support and guidance to students who are experiencing academic difficulties, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve success.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of academic programs and services, including new student orientation and peer mentoring initiatives.
  • Communication: Engage in regular communication with students, faculty, and staff to promote student success and retention.
  • Assessment: Participate in assessment processes to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and services.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with coursework in Education, Human Relations, Psychology, Human Services, or College Student Personnel, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in Higher Education in Student Affairs, or a master's degree will supplement the years of related work experience in a higher education environment.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish rapport with diverse personalities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, self-directed with ability to work independently, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
Working Conditions

This is a professional office environment with extensive people interaction. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
