The Cashier is tasked with the accurate collection of fees for parking services, meter systems, and inventory management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently collect parking fees using the designated computer system.
- Accurately perform opening and closing procedures, documenting as required.
- Process payments, manage parking tickets, and provide change as necessary.
- Assist customers by clarifying fees, offering directions, and locating vehicles.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and respect.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier booth and surrounding areas.
- Ensure booths are stocked with necessary supplies for operations.
- Provide coverage for breaks for fellow cashiers as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in parking-related inquiries.
- Assist in recovering jammed credit cards or tickets for customers.
- Complete all required documentation accurately.
- Report any unusual security incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that equips the individual for the role.
- Previous experience in a cashier role is preferred.
- Must be able to be bonded.
- Strong public relations skills are essential.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position without posing a safety risk.
- Capability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Proficient in using a cash register or calculator.
- Ability to climb stairs and perform various physical activities including walking, sitting, standing, stooping, pushing, pulling, and running.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds or more.
- Visual and auditory capabilities to communicate effectively.
- Good hand-eye coordination is required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Work may involve isolation with limited support.
- Exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
- Multiple work areas may be assigned.
- Ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
