Business Analyst Job Description

SMX Corporation is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our State and Local team. This is a remote position based in Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business needs into technical objectives by gathering user requirements, developing recommendations for implementation, and identifying solutions to satisfy the business need.
  • Report project status to management, including risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Communicate business needs across various stakeholders, understanding the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly.
  • Participate in testing and other application support activities, working closely with clients and project teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills.
  • Experience with case management systems, preferably in the Health and Human services area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional, Agile or Scrum Master Certification, or Certified Product Owner is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) is desired.
