About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Catastrophe Claims Representative to join our team at FBL Financial. As a Catastrophe Claims Representative, you will be responsible for responding to catastrophic events, investigating and evaluating property claims, and negotiating settlements with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and evaluate property claims involving homeowner, farm, and commercial risks
  • Negotiate settlements with clients in a professional and effective manner
  • Document investigations, evaluations, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Deploy to storm events covering our 8-state territory as needed
  • Assist in managing claims during non-storm periods
Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent plus 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of construction and estimating systems (Xactimate) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to climb onto ladders, roofs, and other structures to inspect damage
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records
