Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a job in Illinois.
About the Job- This role involves acquiring high-quality diagnostic images for radiographic interpretation and ensuring patient safety during imaging procedures.
- Perform quality exams, order exams appropriately, and use established policies to obtain and provide quality images.
- Use appropriate radiographic techniques based on anatomy and patient condition to ensure optimal image quality.
- Secure patient history, record it accurately, and review it with the radiologist.
- Maintain accurate records, follow regulations, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
- Ensure equipment maintenance, perform quality control, and maintain radiation safety standards.
- Provide quality patient care, support clinic operations, and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Accurately obtain and document patient information, including chief complaint, vital signs, and pain assessment.
- Obtain EKGs as needed, send tracings for interpretation, and document results.
- Perform laboratory functions, collect specimens, perform tests, and record results.
- Participate in occupational health tasks, such as breath alcohol testing, audiometry, and spirometry.
- A graduate of an accredited AMA School of Radiology with 0-1 year experience as a general radiographer.
- Knowledge of HIS system, basic knowledge of RIS system, effective interpersonal skills, IDNS accreditation, AART certification or eligibility, CPR certification.

$50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
