Job Title: Healthcare Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Nebraska Medicine. The successful candidate will work in the Progressive Care Unit at Werner Cancer Hospital, providing high-quality patient care and support services.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel
  • Support patient care plans and ensure the delivery of high-quality care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Six months experience in patient care or enrolled in nursing program
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later)
