What you will do
  • You will collaborate with Account Executives to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process for various opportunity types including Request for Proposal (RFP), Design-Build, and Design Consulting.
  • You will be responsible for completing all technical deliverables required for each opportunity such as bill of materials with pricing, labor estimate, and scope of work.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Establish and maintain positive communication lines with Account Executives and Customers.
  2. Attend in-person and/or virtual discovery meetings to identify Customers' technology and business requirements.
  3. Attend site surveys when necessary to obtain design space details.
  4. You will conceptualize, define, and explain our technology solutions to Customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
  5. Validate solutions for standard RFP/RFQ and Consultant Design-Bid-Build opportunities.
  6. Review RFPs in detail and identify areas of concerns for review by Account Executive or Director of Sales Engineering.
  7. You will submit technical RFIs during bid process as needed.
  8. Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical documentation related to infrastructure and equipment installation requirements.
  9. You will provide consistent quality deliverables to Account Executives to be included in proposals:
  10. Detailed Equipment Bill of Materials with Pricing
  11. Miscellaneous Materials Estimate
  12. Detailed Labor Estimate
  13. Technical Scope of Work/Bid Response/Functional Summary (as applicable)
  14. You will provide plan markups in Bluebeam and/or CAD to specify/coordinate infrastructure requirements for Architect/Customer and for internal handoff to Design Engineer after contract award.
  15. Participate in internal kick-off meetings with the assigned Project Team after contract award and provide knowledge transfer to assigned Design Engineer.
  16. Maintain communication with Design Engineer and review Drawing Package submittals prior to system implementation to ensure design intent is met and discuss issues/changes/etc.
  17. You will participate in vendor product demonstrations/trainings in local office and/or remotely when hosted in other territory office locations.
  18. Maintain relationship with manufacturer representatives and vendor partners.

Requirements and qualifications

  • You must have at least 7 years of experience in audiovisual systems design.
  • Minimum 5+ years of design experience in the AV industry is preferred.
  • IT/Networking certifications or training are an advantage.
  • You should have a clear understanding of the project phases including Programming, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Contract Administration.
  • A clear understanding of the construction process, installation, integration, and commissioning of audiovisual systems is essential.
  • You should have demonstrated knowledge of AV technology, equipment, facilities, and systems used for Corporate Clients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter, with a positive outlook.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills including grammar, spelling, and formatting preferred.
  • Experience with Performance Venue Systems, familiar with digital mixing consoles, video switchers, cameras, and lighting systems.
  • Experience with Broadcasting Systems like those found in news, houses of worship, distance learning, etc., familiar with high-resolution encoders, SMPTE 2110, NDI, broadcast-grade cameras, and content playout techniques.

We offer a competitive salary range of $92,800-$141,800 based on your location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
