Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Sonepar. As a Sales Associate, you will be the front line of service for our customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, process, and fill customer orders at the counter and from phone or online orders.
  • Advise customers on prices and materials, and assist in the warehouse to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Pick and pack exact materials from warehouse stock for will call pick-ups and local truck delivery, and complete the order process by loading delivery trucks or customer vehicles.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the branch location on assigned occasions, ensuring building security and customer service standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, including listening to and speaking with customers face-to-face and over the phone, with customer service experience preferred.
  • Able to develop product knowledge to understand customer requests and identify appropriate materials and parts.
  • Strong math and technology skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changes and handle pressure such as customer service demands and tight time constraints.
  • Ability to work within multiple computer software at one time, comfortable navigating and searching the internet.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced industry that embraces change, with electrical warehousing, electrical construction, warehouse equipment experience preferred.
