About the Role

Garnet Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at Garnet Health Medical Center Middletown. As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing patient-centric care and working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Provide or refer patients for necessary and appropriate therapy
  • Complete discharge plans in collaboration with patients, their supports, community providers, and the treatment team

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • Two years' experience in psychiatric social work, counseling, or a comparable setting/population
  • Certified in New York State LMSW or LCSW or LMHC
  • Current BLS required
Working Conditions

The Behavioral Health Clinician will work in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility with no routine exposure to hazards. The physical demands of the role include the ability to perform full anatomical range of motion, operate computer and office equipment, and withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and walking. The mental demands include the ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, and prioritize tasks.
