We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team at Jobot. With a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, this role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to take their career to the next level.

About the Role

The Senior Accounting Professional will be responsible for managing general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. This involves overseeing day-to-day activities such as cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  2. Oversee day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
  3. Coordinate timely and accurate month-end and year-end close process.
  4. Evaluate internal processes and relevant regulations to ensure compliance with GAAP and FASB.
  5. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Accounting Professional will also be required to develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines, manage budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
  • Solid experience with month-end close, GAAP, and FASB.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
