Job Title: Instrument Repair Specialist

The Instrument Repair Specialist is responsible for repairing and maintaining musical instruments to ensure they are returned to their original playing condition. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain a variety of musical instruments, including brass, woodwind, percussion, and orchestral instruments.
  • Use standard repair shop tooling and equipment to diagnose and repair instruments.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and shop staff to ensure smooth operation of the repair shop.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Apprenticeship or diploma from an accredited repair school preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in instrument repair and maintenance.
  • Skilled understanding and function of one or all brass, woodwind, percussion, and orchestral instruments.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Preferred Requirements:
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in instrument repair and maintenance.
  • Advanced understanding and function of one or all brass, woodwind, percussion, and orchestral instruments.
