Job Summary:

The Food Service Attendant provides exceptional dining experiences by ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the buffet area. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Food Handling and Preparation: Handle all food items according to health and sanitation standards, and work collaboratively with the culinary team to maintain high standards.
  • Buffet Maintenance: Refill cooked hot and cold food items, maintain clean and organized serving stations, and ensure that all utensils and equipment are properly stocked.
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service by responding promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, and ensuring that all guests have a positive dining experience.
  • Team Support: Assist the culinary team by notifying them of food item needs in a timely manner, and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean all serving stations, sweep and mop the kitchen expo area as needed, and remove and empty trash as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to listen and respond effectively to guest and associate inquiries.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Previous Experience: At least one year of related experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking are required for this role.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
