We proudly serve a dynamic community of over 500 member families, providing experiences that span golf, racquet sports, swimming, childcare, events, and dining.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Café Service Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to members and guests at our poolside café. This position requires a combination of customer service expertise, casual food service skills, barista proficiency, and basic food preparation abilities. Previous experience in a service-oriented role is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome each member and guest upon arrival, using their names whenever possible, and foster relationships with member families.
  • Accurately take and input food and beverage orders into the point of sale system and ensure prompt delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to meet the needs of members and guests.
  • Brew and replenish drip coffee for the café and staff areas as needed.
  • Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages using our automated machine.
  • Create and serve fresh smoothies and juices.
  • Heat and serve pre-prepared food items, including breakfast sandwiches and pastries.
  • Efficiently process payments through credit card and house accounts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area.
  • Assist with the organization and service of pool areas as time allows.
  • Provide service to guests at the pool when available.
  • Support the Locker Room desk as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in customer service or food service roles.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems; experience with similar systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and pulling are required.
  • Regular repetitive motions and continuous standing and walking are necessary.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 30 pounds.
