Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Marine Operations to lead our Southeast Florida region. As a key member of our team, you will drive member satisfaction, oversee fleet operations, and develop strong teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve KPI metrics across locations to ensure operations meet or exceed standards.
  • Manage operating budget for the district and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Review and approve payroll for Area Location Managers.
  • Engage in quarterly performance evaluations and develop annual goals.
  • Coordinate with the Marine Operations Center to ensure fleet needs are addressed efficiently.
  • Perform regular Fleetio audits to maintain brand standards.
  • Evaluate location maintenance and cleaning practices.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate and supplies are distributed as needed.
  • Lead onboarding training and provide ongoing staff development.
  • Visit locations regularly to assess needs and ensure procedures are executed properly.
  • Develop and implement best practices, SOPs, and location improvement projects.
  • Provide input on manager and dock staff manuals.
  • Responsible for safety performance and work environment adequacy.
  • Partner with EH&S to enhance best practices.
  • Drive growth by maintaining strong relationships with landlords and executing strategic expansion.
  • Coordinate lease management and renewals with Demand Planning.
  • Lead prospecting efforts to identify new location opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local marina managers and harbor masters.
  • Responsible for member satisfaction and retention.
  • Correspond with members on escalations and dock-related issues.
  • Assist in developing a performance-based compensation plan for dock staff.
  • Maintain open communication with Area Location Managers and dock staff.
  • Familiarize yourself with local waterways and popular boating destinations.
  • Aid in future special projects supporting company stability and longevity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams.
  • Thorough understanding of operations practices and theories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Pass background check, education verification, and drug screen.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
