Maintenance Technician

Maintain and repair physical structures of hotel buildings and grounds by performing various duties.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean internal areas of hotel buildings, including storage/boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms.
• Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts.
• Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment, such as vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
• Monitor hotel swimming pools and ensure proper sanitation and chemical usage.
• Cut grass and trim weeds, construct decorative flower garden borders, dig flower beds, and plant flowers on property.
• Repair parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
• Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
• Repair, paint, or replace building interior walls, trim, wood, brick, stone, and concrete.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
• Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner and address any maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure prompt response to guest requests for services and repairs.
• Assist in the security of the property, including vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
• Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents.
• Participate in property safety and preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe, hazard-free working environment.
• Assist with setting up, tearing down, and cleaning banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
• Run errands and drive as necessary to meet business needs.
Requirements
• Follow all KHC policies and procedures as set forth in the KHC handbook and property-specific guidelines/standards.
• Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.

• Stand, walk, and use hands to handle, grasp, or type regularly.
• Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist frequently.
• Talk or hear, and push, pull, or lift over 10 pounds occasionally.
• Sit and smell occasionally.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
