Job Title: Creative Account Manager

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Matthews International as a Creative Account Manager. As a key member of our account management team, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with our clients in the CPG industry. Your primary focus will be on efficiently coordinating projects from estimation to completion, working closely with our project teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the company's profitability efforts by managing efficient, accurate, and timely coordination of assigned project activities.
  • Collaborate with the account team to increase revenue through the sale of additional products and services across our business portfolio.
  • Participate in the development of innovative proposals to capture account growth and new business opportunities.
  • Ensure the meeting of volume and revenue targets for each account.
  • Build new relationships and nurture existing relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact for current projects with clients, suppliers, external partners, and the account team, providing timely responses to all inquiries.
  • Participate in meetings with existing clients and internal teams to identify new services and offerings to meet clients' evolving needs.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in all client deliverables.
  • Coordinate client-specific projects throughout the lifecycle, including estimate creation, project selection, resource assignment, project progress monitoring, and client/project invoicing.
  • Translate client requests and requirements into detailed instructions for project teams.
  • Partner with clients, the account team, and project teams to resolve identified project issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing by maintaining correct project details and supporting evidence, including change orders and rework.
  • Initiate new data item requests using the Master Data Management process to ensure accurate client, project, and financial details are available in the system.
  • Collaborate with Client Integration and the account team to ensure a smooth transition for new clients.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and adapt processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, quality, etc.
  • Provide solutions for business-related issues and generate specific plans to achieve objectives.
  • Manage and balance marketing budgets to maximize Return on Investment (ROI) and drive incremental sales.
  • Provide expertise on customer pricing and promotional planning.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of employees to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentor, coach, train, and develop team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of previous account management experience in a creative design agency, market research firm, or similar consulting environment.
  • Prior managerial/supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk, hear, and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
