As a School Nurse Leader at NavitsPartners, you will play a vital role in inspiring and preparing scholars with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams. Your professional nursing expertise will support the educational progress of all scholars, including performing health screenings and assessments, administering and delegating medication administration and treatments according to district policy, per physician orders, and parental authorization.
Key Responsibilities:- Health Education and Promotion: Provide health education to scholars and guardians/caregivers designed according to district guidelines, promoting a healthy school environment.
- Nursing Expertise: Develop, train, and monitor staff in the implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHP) and Emergency Plans (EP), as appropriate.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Facilitate the District's compliance with State and Federal mandates related to the health of school district scholars, serving as a health educator to staff, scholars, and guardians/caregivers.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, initiate and sustain collaboration within and across departments, programs, building, and with public and private health care providers to improve scholar achievement.
- Professional Development: Participate in district and building leadership activities, work collaboratively with others, and be flexible with work hours to meet the needs of scholars, guardians/caregivers, the district, building, and department.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Licensure: Must be registered with the Board of Nursing as a public health nurse and licensed as a School Nurse through PELSB or ability to obtain license.
- Skills: Strong computer skills, detail-oriented, organized, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
