Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate and long-term nursing care needs of patients within the standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies.
  • Accurately assess patients' needs and plan nursing interventions for assigned patients.
  • Provide and implement nursing care interventions, accurately evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Lead a team of nurses, providing a leadership role in organizing and providing patient care.
  • Teach patients and significant others, maintaining a commitment to professional growth and competency.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication and contribute to the productivity and cost-effectiveness of the hospital, department, and unit.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • No experience required, one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
