At Emerson Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Associate to facilitate patients' access into our hospital and clinical systems. This role is responsible for providing registration, admission, and bed assignment services while protecting the fiscal interest of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Registration: Ensure accurate and timely registration of patients, including collection of demographic and insurance information.

• Admission: Coordinate patient admissions, including bed assignments and notification of healthcare teams.

• Fiscal Management: Protect the hospital's fiscal interest by verifying insurance coverage, managing patient accounts, and resolving billing discrepancies.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience: Minimum one to three years of Registration, Hospital Billing experience required.

• Licensure and/or Certification: Certified Healthcare Access Associate, preferred.

• Skills: Knowledge of third-party payors, Medicare billing practices and regulations, insurance verifications, and computer proficiency.

• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with all organizational levels, with demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work accurately with detailed confidential information.

• Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidential information.
