Job Overview

Position Summary

  • The Facilities Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the Facilities team under the supervision of the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer. This position involves managing daily operational tasks, responding to service calls, conducting equipment repairs, performing inspections, and executing preventative maintenance as assigned. Safety is paramount, and the Engineer is expected to adhere to all safety protocols while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to guests and collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
  • Carry out timely repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance on various systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and chillers.
  • Accurately read and interpret meters, gauges, and testing instruments to identify issues and determine repair solutions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Engage in technical projects involving electrical and mechanical equipment repairs, along with other assigned tasks.
  • Manage landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
  • Execute carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry repairs as needed.
  • Possess a solid understanding of construction and maintenance practices, including cost estimation methods.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and internal control standards.
  • Represent the company positively to guests and vendors, providing assistance as required.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as a condition of employment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance and operations.
  • Proficient in at least four disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Ability to engage in physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least three years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Familiarity with boom lifts and scissor lifts is essential.
  • Certification for operating forklifts or other heavy equipment must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is required.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with tenants, team members, and vendors.
  • Availability for emergency call-ins and potential weekend or overnight shifts.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and customer service skills.
  • Must be a team player and at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Additional Information

This position requires a background check, financial review, and drug screening. Candidates must provide two years of tax returns and 12 months of bank statements. A clean criminal history is necessary to meet gaming license requirements.
