Job Overview

Position Summary

  • The Facilities Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the Facilities team under the supervision of the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer. This position involves managing daily operational tasks, responding to service calls, conducting equipment repairs, performing inspections, and executing preventative maintenance, including assigned projects. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to guests and collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
  • Oversee prompt repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance across various systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and chillers.
  • Accurately read and interpret meters, gauges, and testing instruments to identify issues and determine effective repair strategies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Engage in technical projects related to electrical and mechanical equipment repairs and other assigned tasks.
  • Manage landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
  • Execute carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry repairs as needed.
  • Possess technical expertise in construction and maintenance tasks, utilizing cost-estimating methods when necessary.
  • Strictly follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Adhere to all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Represent the company positively to guests and vendors, providing assistance as required.
  • Participate in all safety meetings and training sessions as a condition of employment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance and operations.
  • Proficient in at least four disciplines, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Ability to engage in physical activities including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least three years of experience in maintenance or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with boom lifts and scissor lifts is essential.
  • Certification for operating forklifts or other heavy equipment must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with tenants, team members, and vendors.
  • Availability for emergency call-ins and potential weekend or overnight shifts.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate good customer service skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Additional Information

This position is subject to background checks, financial scrutiny, and drug screening. Candidates will need to provide two years of tax returns and 12 months of bank statements. A clean criminal history is essential for obtaining a gaming license.
