Key Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a full-time Clinic LPN for a busy endocrinology clinic. This role involves working within a collaborative care team, with no weekend or recognized holiday shifts required.

Job Summary:

The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to clinic patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other healthcare provider. Responsibilities include assisting with patient visits, executing routine nursing protocols, and offering clinical support to medical staff. The LPN will also engage in patient care planning, assist with diagnostic procedures, report observations, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.

Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative in managing routine tasks independently while adhering to established care standards. More complex tasks will be guided by an RN or provider.

Effective management of a busy workload is essential, along with strong customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare patients for visits by obtaining and documenting vital signs and relevant medical history.
  • Assist with patient care and diagnostic tests in accordance with training and established protocols.
  • Support point-of-care testing and laboratory procedures as directed.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records of medication usage.
  • Document all procedures and patient interactions in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, including restocking supplies and sterilizing instruments.
  • Exhibit cultural sensitivity and competence in communication and care delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program recognized by the state nursing board. One year of experience in a clinic setting or two years in acute care preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
