Martha & Mary is a non-profit, faith-driven organization dedicated to delivering compassionate care and services to seniors within our assisted living community. We are seeking a committed Licensed Nurse to contribute clinical knowledge and a passion for service to improve the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Care: Engage in assessments, adjust care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
- Clinical Leadership: Support staff training, monitor resident health, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including infection control measures.
- Quality Assurance: Perform medication cart audits, assist in incident investigations, and provide clinical reports to the Director of Nursing.
- Administrative Duties: Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges; report significant incidents to state authorities, and complete necessary documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside the nursing team to address staffing needs, participate in on-call duties, and provide PRN coverage as required.
- Resident Engagement: Regularly interact with residents through safety checks, room evaluations, and ensuring a secure, comfortable living environment.
- Education: LPN required.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in any clinical setting.
- Preferred experience in Assisted Living and working with the elderly population.
- Competent clinical skills, including vital signs monitoring, wound care, and lab assessments.
- Experience with dementia care is advantageous.
- Licensure: Must possess an unencumbered Washington State Nursing License (LPN).
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and independent judgment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing customer service and teamwork.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficient in using medical devices and various software applications.
- Reliable attendance with a willingness to cover additional hours, including weekends and holidays.
