Position Overview

Licensed Nurse - Assisted Living

Location: Bremerton, Washington

Martha & Mary is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to delivering compassionate care and services to seniors in our assisted living community. We are seeking a committed Licensed Nurse to enhance the well-being of our residents through clinical expertise and a genuine heart for service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care: Engage in assessments, modify care plans, and effectively communicate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
  • Clinical Leadership: Facilitate staff training, oversee resident wellness, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including infection control measures.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform medication cart audits, assist in investigations of falls and incidents, and provide clinical reports to the Director of Nursing.
  • Administrative Duties: Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges; inform relevant authorities of significant incidents, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the nursing team to address staffing needs, participate in on-call duties, and provide PRN coverage as needed.
  • Resident Interaction: Regularly connect with residents through safety checks, room evaluations, and ensure a secure, comfortable living environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: LPN required.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in any clinical setting.
    • Preferred experience in Assisted Living and working with the geriatric population.
    • Proficient clinical skills including vital signs, dressings, and lab reviews.
    • Experience with dementia care is advantageous.
  • Licensure: Must possess an unencumbered Washington State Nursing License (LPN).

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and independent judgment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing customer service and teamwork.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities under deadlines.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using medical devices and various computer software programs.
  • Flexible, reliable attendance with a willingness to cover additional hours, including weekends and holidays.
