About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented summer intern to join our R&D group in Lancaster, OH. As a summer intern, you will have the opportunity to work on business-critical projects that support daily operations, safety, quality, and productivity improvements of our products and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Qualify alternate coatings and substrates for metal closures
  • Work on projects that support daily operations, safety, quality, and productivity improvements
  • Develop and propose solutions to problems
  • Interface with various levels of staff from other engineers, to management, to production employees
  • Prioritize and work multiple tasks concurrently
Requirements
  • Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering
  • Rising Junior or higher
  • Minimum GPA 2.8
  • Ability to work 40-hours per week
  • Ability to relocate if needed
  • Background in Lean/ 6-sigma helpful, but not required
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Leadership experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
