Market Sector Leader

The Market Sector Leader plays a pivotal role in driving growth and development within HED's K-12 market sector. This individual serves as a thought leader, fostering strong relationships with clients, professional organizations, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning and positioning to drive business growth
  • Collaboration with Business Development Managers and Marketing Managers to identify project leads and develop marketing strategies
  • Leading the development and implementation of the K-12 Studio marketing plan
  • Negotiating and implementing professional services proposals and contracts
  • Establishing project service delivery requirements, hour allocations, team structure, and project schedule commitment
  • Representing HED as a Project Director when required
  • Managing the annual marketing budget for the K-12 Studio
  • Tracking opportunities, sales, and revenue
  • Ensuring projects meet HED's quality standards and client satisfaction
  • Facilitating efforts across offices to pursue and deliver work
  • Representing HED at conferences, publishing articles, and networking with individuals and professional organizations
Requirements:
  • Professional Bachelor's degree in Architecture and professional licensure
  • LEED accreditation and familiarity with Revit environment
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with 5 years in business development and project management, focusing on K-12 Educational Facilities
  • Extensive knowledge of professional services from marketing through project close-out, including design and technical expertise
  • Experience working with State Agencies governing public school construction and entitlement process for private school development
  • Ability to motivate and work well with others under deadline situations
  • Exceptional writing and speaking skills, and strong organizational skills
  • Contractual and financial business acumen
  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
  • Proven ability to interact well in various business and social settings
