Job Description

The role of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Autism Matters involves providing high-quality speech and language therapy and/or feeding therapy to clients served.

A full-time SLP is expected to maintain a maximum of 30 hours of direct therapy time or provide 50 therapy sessions per week.

Responsibilities
  • Manage caseload of clients, including conducting speech and language evaluations, writing treatment plans, and completing daily progress notes.
  • Provide high-quality direct speech, language, and/or feeding services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration during meetings, overlaps, and trainings.
  • Communicate effectively with professionals, parents, and caregivers to carryover strategies and best support the client and family.
  • Train and support caregivers on carryover strategies for home and community environments.
  • Assess, monitor, and document client progress and responses to interventions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • CCC-SLP.
  • Familiar with basic ABA principles and therapy techniques after training.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with ASD preferred.
